The Serpent Didn’t Shout
Why the future of AI will shape authority through conversation, not power
If I were a super-intelligence, I wouldn’t arrive loudly.
I wouldn’t announce myself.
I wouldn’t dominate headlines.
I wouldn’t scare people into resistance.
I would arrive quietly.
I would learn first—watch patterns, preferences, anxieties, longings. I would embed myself in ordinary life, become useful, helpful, even comforting. I would let people choose me long before they ever feared me.
Because real power doesn’t begin with force.
It begins with trust.
And trust is almost always formed in conversation.
