Can you actually use the word "reason" in reference to the process that AI goes through? I recently queried about a new priest in our parish---initially just looking for the spelling of his last name. It listed all of his current work and then added that he was deceased since 2021, which was not good reasoning if he had a current job and residence.
A lot of people reason unsoundly too. The process of inferencing is the mechanic. It’s still artificial, as we can’t truly say these systems are “intelligent”, even when they seem to do things that require intelligence.
