Excellent thoughts. As one who has experienced the Lord’s healing, and is learning to be His hands to touch others, this is good stuff.

very clear position which I share. Still some example / story with changed names would make the point even more clear

Good point! More stories for relatability. This is a great space to grow in writing :) thanks for your feedback.

Saw your interview with Lila Rose and am so excited for your new book!

I’m a very recent convert from charismatic Protestant evangelicalism and I’m still recovering from some disorienting/wounding experiences with lay deliverance ministry in that camp. It’s been a journey of slowly unwinding the knots and healing with some great counselors and spiritual direction, but certainly, your voice and writing is a welcome balm on this journey.

Edit: Oh also, through some unfortunate exposure to scary/ horror content as a child and my forceful consumption of it when I spent time as an atheist in my twenties, I’ve had a crippling fear of the diabolical for a long time. But the illustration you gave on Lila Rose’s show about “Jesus and the popcorn” was so liberating to hear, so thanks for sharing that!

Thanks for sharing, brother! You’re not alone in that disorienting/wounding, as well as the exposure to scary stuff lol. I’m sure you’ll have an important voice for healing yourself as your own experience is redeemed. To “comfort others with the same comfort with which we’ve been comforted” (2 Cor 1:4). Bless you.
